Teleconverters & Lens Converters
Used teleconverters and lens converters
A teleconverter sits between your camera and your lens and multiplies the focal length, so a 135mm lens with a 2x converter behaves like a 270mm lens. This collection also includes other optical converters and attachments that change what your existing lenses can do, from close focusing to viewing at an angle.
- 2x and 1.4x teleconverters from Canon (Extender FD 2x B and 1.4x A), Takumar A, Vivitar, Tamron, Soligor, Panagor and Teleplus
- Macro focusing teleconverters and macro converters, such as the Vivitar 2x Macro Focusing Teleconverter and Panagor Auto Macro Converter
- Extension tubes, auxiliary lens sets and slide duplicators for close range work and copying slides
- Angle finders, magnifiers, external viewfinders, stereo adapters and conversion lens adapters

Does a teleconverter work with any lens?
The converter must have the same mount as your camera and lens, for example Canon FD, Pentax K, Minolta MD or M42. It works best with sharp primes of 100mm and longer. Check the product description for the exact mount and any notes on compatibility.
How much light do I lose with a teleconverter?
A 1.4x converter costs one stop of light and a 2x converter two stops. An f/2.8 lens with a 2x converter therefore works like an f/5.6 lens, so you may need a faster shutter speed, a higher ISO or a tripod.
What is the difference between a macro converter and an extension tube?
An extension tube has no glass. It simply moves the lens further from the camera so it can focus closer. A macro converter or macro focusing teleconverter combines optics with a focusing mechanism, which gives you more flexible close focusing with a normal lens.
