Frequently asked questions
Which memory card does my camera need?
Check the card slot or the manual of your camera. Many Olympus and Fujifilm compacts from the 2000s use xD cards, Sony cameras from that time often use Memory Stick Pro Duo, and older DSLR cameras usually take CompactFlash. Most cameras made after about 2010 use SD cards.
Why buy a small-capacity card?
Many older digital cameras cannot read high-capacity cards. Cameras made before SDHC became common often only accept SD cards up to 2GB, so a smaller card is the reliable choice for a vintage digital camera.
How do I get photos off an xD or CompactFlash card?
Use a multi-card reader, such as our all-in-one reader for SD, microSD, CF and xD. Plug it into your computer and the card shows up like a normal drive.
