Used mirrorless cameras

Mirrorless cameras give you interchangeable lenses and large-sensor image quality in a body that is far smaller than a DSLR. This collection holds used mirrorless cameras from Olympus, Panasonic, Nikon and Sony, each one checked and cleaned, sold as body only or as a kit with lens. Every camera is unique, so models come and go quickly.

  • Olympus PEN: classic PEN bodies and the tiny PEN Mini, plus Olympus models with a built-in electronic viewfinder (Micro Four Thirds)
  • Panasonic Lumix G: the compact Lumix GF3 and the Lumix G6, often with the Lumix G Vario kit zoom (Micro Four Thirds)
  • Nikon 1: the Nikon 1 J1, with 1 Nikkor zooms such as the 10 to 30mm and 30 to 110mm
  • Sony: early Sony NEX bodies and the Sony Alpha A6000 (Sony E-mount)

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a mirrorless camera and a DSLR?

A DSLR uses a mirror and an optical viewfinder, while a mirrorless camera shows the image on its screen or on an electronic viewfinder. That makes mirrorless bodies smaller and lighter, and you see the exposure before you press the shutter.

Can I use vintage film lenses on a mirrorless camera?

Often, yes. Micro Four Thirds and Sony E-mount bodies take lenses such as M42, Canon FD, Minolta MD and Olympus OM with a simple adapter. You focus manually, and the crop factor makes the lens behave longer: about 2x on Micro Four Thirds and 1.5x on the Sony A6000.

Which system should I choose?

Micro Four Thirds has the widest choice of small lenses, and Olympus and Panasonic lenses fit each other's bodies. Sony E-mount suits you if you want a larger sensor. Nikon 1 is the smallest system, a good pick if you want a pocketable camera with interchangeable lenses.
