What is a right angle finder used for?
It attaches to the eyepiece and turns the view by 90 degrees, so you can look down into the camera when it is low to the ground, on a copy stand or on a tripod for macro work. Many models also magnify the image for precise focusing.
Waist level finder or prism finder?
A waist level finder shows a bright image that you look down at, mirrored from left to right, which suits portraits, street and medium format work. A prism finder gives an upright, correctly oriented image at eye level, which is easier for moving subjects.
Will a viewfinder fit my camera?
Finders are made for a specific camera system, so check the brand and model in the product title. Some angle finders need an eyepiece adapter for your camera. If you are not sure, contact us before ordering and we will help you check.
