What is the difference between Minolta MC and MD lenses?
Both use the same bayonet and fit every Minolta manual focus SLR. MD lenses add a coupling for the minimum aperture, which enables shutter priority and program modes on cameras such as the X700 and XD7. MC lenses work perfectly in aperture priority and manual mode.
Do Minolta MD lenses fit Minolta AF or Sony cameras?
Not Minolta AF or Sony A mount bodies, which use a different mount; those lenses are in our Sony Lenses collection. MD lenses do adapt easily to mirrorless cameras such as Sony E, Fujifilm X, Nikon Z, Canon RF and Micro Four Thirds.
