Do Canon FD lenses fit Canon EOS cameras?

Not on EOS DSLRs without an adapter that contains a corrective lens, because the EF mount sits further from the sensor. On mirrorless cameras, such as Canon RF, Sony E, Fujifilm X and Micro Four Thirds, FD lenses adapt easily with a simple adapter.

What is the difference between FD and New FD?

Original FD lenses have a silver breech lock ring, while New FD lenses mount with a twist of the whole lens. Both fit the same cameras and adapters.
