Frequently asked questions
Which battery does my film camera need?
Check the battery compartment or the manual. Many compact film cameras from the 1990s use CR123A, CR2 or 2CR5 lithium batteries, while classic SLR cameras and light meters often run on small button cells such as SR44 or LR43.
Can I replace an old mercury battery?
Mercury cells such as the PX625 are no longer made. The V625U is a common alkaline replacement of the same size. Because its voltage is slightly higher, the light meter can read a little off, which you can correct with exposure compensation or the ISO setting.
Which charger fits my camera?
